All buildings at Ingwe are wooden and elevated above the forest canopy to take full advantage of the incredible views of rolling forested hills and valleys, green pastures, mountains and even a glimpse of the ocean too! A truly superb and most versatile venue. Large main Lodge area, boma, swimming pool, wooden decks in the forest, large sports field…
The Lodge (hall) is a large (450m²) wooden building that has a fully equipped kitchen, tables and benches, a covered outdoor deck area and wrap around deck with awesome views. A North American influence has been used in the design of the buildings that has allowed non-invasive construction by elevating the buildings on stilts to gain optimum advantage of the spectacular views of the forest canopy, whilst not harming the surrounding plant life. All buildings have been constructed from wood to blend in with the natural environment. Removal of alien vegetation is an on-going process and wherever ...possible, Pine, Blackwood and Black wattle have been used in the construction of the buildings. A boma with a fire pit is the perfect spot to gather around a roaring fire under millions of stars on a clear night; on the darker evenings, watch the fireflies dance whilst roasting marshmallows! A swimming pool with views of the Outeniqua mountain range and a sports field for games and activities. Ample parking for cars and buses too. A forested path leads to a natural clearing in the indigenous forest that has wooden decks and can be used for a multitude of options. Catered or self-catering options are available.
