1. The Ingwe Journey

This is a highly recommended leadership course focused on effective teamwork and leadership. A symbolic obstacle course and intensive programme is designed to create a better understanding and awareness of what our capabilities are when challenged.

2. The Ingwe Adventure Trail

This encompasses both the theoretical and practical side of hiking and gives an insight into the ecology and geology of this area. This course incorporates basic first aid, survival skills and conservation principles. A fun group experience in beautiful surroundings.

3. The Ingwe Explorer

This is a fun and energetic problem solving adventure, taking full advantage of our beautiful surroundings and promising a stimulating day. Teambuilding with a difference!

4. The Ingwe Eco Warriors

Sign up for a hands-on day in the forest and surrounding area. Get involved and focused on what WE can do to help save the planet. A day packed with activities! You will also plant a tree to support the local NPO: www.thegreenticket.org

5. The Ingwe Adventurers

In collaboration with Nature’s Valley Trust, hike from the top of Nature’s Pass through fynbos and indigenous forest to Salt River mouth or Groot River lagoon. Take part in a scavenger hunt, explore rocky shores and take part in a beach and lagoon programme enroute.

Guided Hikes

We offer a range of guided hikes through the forest, over the hills and down into the valley along the river. Your experienced guide is FGASA qualified and familiar with the local flora and fauna. Our hikes range from family-friendly walks to more challenging terrain for experienced hikers. You can include a half-way picnic, pre-hike breakfast, or celebratory sundowners. Please enquire for details.

Other Outdoor Activities

We also offer orienteering, endurance trails, mountain biking trails, horse riding, survival skills, adventure racing, tree planting, community work, snare swoops and research projects. We custom design packages for eco clubs, hiking clubs, bird-watching clubs, corporate exercises, associations and families. We are linked to many other top attractions and activities in the area that you can include in your package. Please enquire for more information.

Evening Activities

  • Games: Not your ‘normal’ type of games… carpet football, noodle hockey, chocolate dice

  • Arts and Crafts: Using recyclable materials and upcycling “junk”

  • Drama and Theatre: Locally based Lunchbox Theatre day/evening programmes/performances

  • Marine awareness, community projects, local choirs, drumming circles, cooking, movie nights, star-gazing, music evenings, theme dinners. If there are other topics you are particularly interested in, please let us know and we can arrange it for you.

Support locally-based Non-Profit Organisations

  • The Green Ticket: Promoting environmental awareness and green collar jobs through education, reforestation and carbon sequestration initiatives (includes a tree planted at Ingwe)

  • Nature’s Valley Trust: Working at the cutting edge of integrated conservation in South Africa focusing on four main areas: Conservation, Education, Community and Research Conservation

IMPORTANT STUFF!

  • Facilitation is on a 1:10 ratio with a minimum group of 16 people.

  • Duration is at least ½ a day unless otherwise stated.

  • Our programmes include two tea breaks, facilitation, equipment, slide show, certificate and copy of photos taken (please bring a memory stick).

  • Indemnities are required to be signed for all participants.

All our teambuilding packages include:

  • Briefing and de-briefing sessions, facilitators, equipment, 2 tea breaks, slide show of pictures taken (bring a stick for your copy!) certificates and of course, new friendships.

  • Groups size – minimum 16 to a maximum 70 people. Teams are usually about 10 to 12 people in each group

  • At least half a day is required but we would love to have you for longer!

  • All participants are required to sign an indemnity form and to advise us of any medical or dietary issues that may have prior to the event.

  • Old comfy clothes and closed shoes are to be worn!

  • Meals can be provided, or you are welcome to self-cater in our fully equipped kitchen or have a braai at our boma area

  • If bandanas/team t-shirts etc are required for your group, these need to be ordered in advance. Prices on request
